Rose Young

Mrs. Rose Young entered into rest surrounded by her family Saturday November 20, 2021.
“I can show you better than I can tell you”
Born in 1949 to the late James Whaley and Evelyn Weeks, Rose was known to many as a kind and giving person. All you had to do was ask and you would have it tenfold. She enjoyed the mountains and Black Friday shopping. When she spoke about her son-in-law Paul she always said “I couldn’t have searched the world over for a better man for my daughter”. She will be remembered for being the loving wife, mother, and Nana that she was.
She is preceded in death by her husband of 25 years, Herman Young; her parents; and brother-in-law, Harold Ford.
She is survived by her daughter, Missy “Mimi” (Paul) Hawkins; son, Ronnie (Tenill) Young; brother, Ron Jordan; sisters, Rachel Ford, and Darlene Thompson; and grandchildren, Victoria “Lulu” (Michael) Hill, Justin (Anna) Young, Chey (Bo) Hickson, and Jaden Young.
The family will receive friends at Langley Church of God Tuesday evening November 23, 2021 from 6 P.M. to 8 P.M. A Funeral Service, celebrating her life, will be held 11 A.M. Wednesday November 24, 2021 at Langley Church of God, with Pastor Eddie Hardee and Pastor Richard Martin to officiate. The burial will follow at Warrenville Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Gerry Stevens, Chuck Bishop, Ronnie Duncan, Robbie Duncan, Chester Enlow, and Donnie Boyd
Napier Funeral Home, Inc. 315 Main St. Graniteville, SC 29829, has been entrusted with these arrangements. To send an expression of sympathy, you may visit the guestbook at www.napierfh.com

I loved talking to Rose at church. We became friends. She would hug me so tight and tell me she loved me. Such a warm and kind person. I will miss her as I know you all will.

I have known Rose since she and her sister were two little blonde "white haired" girls. I moved from South Carolina several years ago, but every time I saw her, we always had big hugs and lunch together, and we talked regularly. She told me that she was taking treatments, but thought ever things was going to be alright. I love her so much and will miss her, she always reassured me that I would make it through some to the things that I have been through with my brother Houston Holley, and his death last years, matter of fact she was at the funeral and brought Earl Holley to the funeral, she has been taking care of him and his later wife for more than 20 years. I love her, and is she does not make it to heaven then I don't want to be there. She will have a crown full of stars that will require a lot of help from other angels to carry it around. Her children and grandchildren were the light of her life, and they are so blessed to have had Rose as their Mother and "Mom". I know that you are at peaceful rest. See you later my sweet Rose.
