Rev. Derrick S. Cutter

December 18, 1961 — October 7, 2021

Rev. Derrick Stewart Cutter, age 59, of West Columbia, S. C., loving husband for 39 years to Terrie Rowell Cutter and son of Rayce Prince (Bob) Wolgemuth and the late Bobby Cutter, answered God’s call and went to be with his Lord and Savior, who he had faithfully served for many years on Thursday, October 7, 2021 at Lexington Hospital in West Columbia, S.C. In addition to his wife and mother, he is survived by his stepmother, Frances Cutter; by a son; Matthew (April) Cutter of Branson, Mo. and a daughter, Deanna (Clint) Lasseter of Lexington, S.C.; a brother, Kevin Cutter; a sister, Dara (Chris) Bell; two grandchildren, Presley and Jocelyn; two nephews, Zachary & Jayden and like-a-son, Chance. He was born in Greenwood, S. C. but had lived many years in West Columbia, S.C. He was the Minister at Safe Harbor Worship Center in West Columbia, where they had just celebrated his 21st Anniversary. The churches that he had pastored included Wells Crossroad in Holly Hill, S.C., Arial Mill in Easley, S.C. and Vaucluse Church of God in Vaucluse, S.C. His hobbies included fishing, cooking and Baking. He was just a very special, loving and talented person who was loved by everyone that knew him, and he never met a stranger. He shall be greatly missed but God knew that it was time for him to come home and reap his much deserved rewards. Earth’s loss is truly Heaven’s gain. A service, celebrating his Homegoing, will be held on Monday, October 11, 2021 at 3:00 PM at Safe Harbor Church of God in West Columbia, S.C. with Rev. Matthew Cutter officiating. The interment will follow at Southland Memorial Gardens, 700 West Dunbar Rd., West Columbia, S.C. The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to the service. Memorials, in his honor, may be made to Cutter’s Edge Ministries, 1104 Reynolds Dr., West Columbia, S.C. 29172.
