Glenn L. Gaskin

February 10, 1943 — April 9, 2021

Glenn L. Gaskin, age 78, of Monetta, S. C., loving husband for 54 years to Alice “Bunny” Spridgeon Gaskin and son of the late Nora Margaret Tompkins Gaskin and the late Leroy “Roy” Gaskin, entered into eternal rest on Friday, April 9, 2021. In addition to his wife, he is survived by sons, Glenn Lee “Skeet” Gaskin and Glenn Lee Gaskin, Jr.; daughters, Alice “Gidget” Creech, Jennifer (David) Blevins and Gigi (Shannon) Parsons; eight grandchildren, Elizabeth (Mickel) Ferris, Will Creech, Quinn Franco, Cherie (Tommy) Wood, Lindsey Blevins, Aaron Blevins, Tyler (Anna) Parsons and Taylor Parsons; two great-grandchildren, Carter Ferris and Lilly Nunez. He was born in and was a lifelong resident of Aiken County, S.C. He was a US Air Force Veteran having bravely served his country during the Vietnam War. He was a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church in Aiken County, where he served as a Deacon and Sunday School Director. During his working years, he was a technician with Lucent Technology. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend. A man of his caliber shall be greatly missed by his family and many friends. His memory shall live on forever in the hearts of his family and loved ones. Earth’s loss is truly Heaven’s gain. The family will receive friends at the Funeral Home on Monday evening, April 12th from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM. A graveside service, with Military Honors, will be held at the Batesburg Cemetery in Batesburg, S.C. on Tuesday, April 13, 2021 at 11:00 AM with Rev. Ken Weathers and Rev. Bill Watkins officiating. The Pallbearers will be Aaron Blevins, Will Creech, Quinn Franco, Jordan Swahn, Tyler Parsons, Tommy Wood, Wayne Marchant, Mickal Ferris, Chad Miles, Jeff McKeever and Butterball. Memorials, in Glenn’s honor, may be made to Oak Grove Baptist Church, 1721 Old Indian Trail, Batesburg, S.C. 29006 or to a charity of one’s choice. The family wishes to extend a special “Thank You” to Dynetta Bell who is a special friend who has become like family to us all.
