Eli Repress Johnson

Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ called his son Eli Repress Johnson to his eternal home on Tuesday July 6, 2021 after an extended illness that he battled with.
A memorial service celebrating his life will be held at 1 P.M. Thursday July 8 2021 at Sweetwater Church of God, with Rev. Curtis Terry officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
Mr. Johnson was born in Augusta, GA. On July 4, 1942 to the late Iris Virginia Johnson and Jesse Cleve Johnson, Sr. He lived in Augusta until 1986 when he and his wife moved to North Augusta, SC.
He worked for the Graniteville Company which changed hands to Avondale Mill where he retired in July of 2004. He married Gloria Jean Morris on June 22, 1963, they have four children, Brian Keith Johnson, Shannon Fay (Homer) Kirkland, Catrina DeShae (Scott) Alabaugh, and Rebecca Lauren Johnson. He has six grandchildren, seven great grandchildren. He has one sister, Gloria Lue Kelly, two brothers, Jesse Cleve (Betty) Johnson Jr. and Cledus David (Sue) Johnson, and many nieces and nephews.
Mr. Johnson loved God, loved his family, and loved his church.
